     "I was wondering when you were going to wake up!" Cresselia said cheerfully, looking at the Leavanny. The boy looked at her in shock. Cresselia came closer. "Um, are you feeling better?" As soon as she stepped closer, two large, long, leaf-like knives appeared in the boy's hands. With a yell he lunged and pinned Cresselia to the wall. He brought one of the knives to her throat.
     "Who are you? Why am I here?" The boy pressed the blade closer. Cresselia stuck out her hand. It glowed and she struck out at the boy with a Psycho Cut. He stumbled back and Cresselia managed to get away.
     "Stop!" She said, putting up her hands. "We found you! You were unconscious! I helpe-" She didn't finish her sentence because the boy lunged at her again, swiping at her with his knives, which were actually more like swords. He lashed out, one after the other, and nicked Cresselia's cheek. She parried another blow with a Psycho Cut. She stumbled across the room, the boy pushing over an end table in his pursuit. Suddenly, someone rushed into the room. Cresselia gasped as Genesect grabbed the boy by the throat and slammed him into the wall.
     "Don't you dare harm any of my friends!" He said angrily. The boy let out a choked gasp. Genesect let go of him and he coughed and fell on the floor. Meloetta rushed in, holding a frying pan, poised to strike.
     "What happened?" She said, eyeing the trashed room. Then, the front door swung open and Zekrom and the others walked in.
     "Hey, we're...home?" He looked around the room in surprise. "Wha-" Suddenly, the boy got up from the floor quickly and began making a bee-line towards the door. Cresselia pointed at him.
     "Stop him!" She yelled. Darkrai quickly blocked the boy's path and put his hand on the Leavanny's forehead. His hand glowed a black light. The Leavanny's green eyes rolled back and he collapsed on the floor in a fitful sleep.
     "Well, that was an interesting welcome." Kyurem said. Cresselia put her head in her hand.
     "I didn't mean stop him like that!" She said, sounding tired.
     "Hey, it worked, didn't it?" Darkrai retorted.

                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     "So, he attacked you?" Zekrom asked in surprise. They managed to get the Leavanny back on the couch, where he slept, occasionally moving around. They had all settled down and Cresselia explained what had happened.
     "Yes. I guess he was scared. He didn't know where he was." She answered. Darkrai eyed her cheek.
     "Did he cut you?" He asked, looking at the small slash on her cheek.
     "Yes, but it's nothing. It doesn't even hurt." Cresselia assured him.
     "Well, you should clean it up." Darkrai pressed. Cresselia looked at him curiously.
     "Are you worried about me?" She asked.
     "No." Darkrai said bluntly. "But it's bleeding, and it's bothering me." Cresselia sighed and stood up. She went into the bathroom to clean up the cut. Victini looked uneasily at the sleeping boy.
     "Um, how long will he be asleep?" Victini asked.
     "At least two hours." Darkrai answered, picking up a book from the table and flipping through it. Cresselia walked back in, a band-aid on her cheek. Darkrai looked up at her. "Now was it that hard?" He said in a fake sweet voice. He smirked. "How about I kiss it? And make it better?" Cresselia threw a pillow at him.
     "Not a chance." She said and sat back down next to him. Darkrai threw the pillow back at her. "So, what happened with you guys?" She asked curiously. Zekrom then proceeded to explan what had happened with Ho-oh, the Islands, and Lugia. When he got to the part where Lugia was deceived, Cresselia's face fell.
     "That poor thing." Meloetta said, sympathy in her voice. Darkrai put the book back.
     "Well, thanks to this we've learned that these people know how to deceit people. We have to try and warn the others." He proposed.
     "But if we do that we'll have to explain what happened with Lugia, and I can't bring myself to do that." Reshiram said sadly. "Think of how humiliating it'll be for him."
     "Well, do you want this to happen again?" Darkrai retorted. "Besides, it's not like he knew what was happening. It could have happened to anyone."
     "And do you think it could have happened to you?" Cresselia asked.
     "No. I'm too smart for that." Darkrai replied smugly. Cresselia snorted.
     "But, what I don't get is how they knew where Lugia was. Where did they find out?" Victini asked.
     "There are legends everywhere saying Lugia resides in the Whirl Islands. It's not too hard to figure out." Zekrom answered. Victini flushed, suddenly feeling stupid.
     "I think she meant how they got in there and into Lugia's chamber." Kyurem said, glaring slightly at Zekrom. He shrugged.
     "We got in there thanks to Ho-oh." Zekrom said. "You either need one of those two or someone from their trios to get in, since no one knows where the Chamber is. But they're not stupid. They wouldn't let anyone in."
     "But Lugia said they came in through the waterfall." Reshiram added. "It's like they sneaked in. How did they know where the Chamber is?"
     "I think it's safe to assume that trying to figure anything out is going to bring us back to the spy question." Darkrai said. "Who's the spy?
     "But we don't know." Kyurem reminded him.
     "Which is why we're going to the Distortion World tomorrow!" Reshiram said.
     "Right..." Zekrom muttered. Suddenly, the Leavanny began stirring. He opened his eyes and looked around. His gaze rested on the others and he immediately sat up in alarm.
     "Wha-what am I doing here?" He asked.
     "Are you going to try and run away like a lunatic again?" Darkrai asked. The boy shook his head.
     "Well, a friend of ours found you on the beach, injured." Cresselia explained gently. "She brought you here and I healed you. Are you feeling better?" The boy nodded, visibly relaxing.
     "What's your name?" Reshiram asked. The boy hesitated.
     "I'm, uh, Vance. I remember the girl, Liasith, finding me, but I don't remember anything else." Vance said, his green-amber eyes confused.
     "Do you at least remember what attacked you?" Cresselia asked. Vance shook his head.
     "Not really. I remember someone behind me, and then a lot of pain. Nothing else." He replied.
     "Well, what do we do with him?" Darkrai asked casually. "Do we let him stay or send him away?"
     "No!" Vance yelled, earning him startled looks from everyone. "No, I don't want to leave yet. What if those people are still there?"
     "Can't you fight?" Darkrai snapped. Cresselia glared at him.
     "Darkrai." She whispered fiercely. He ignored her.
     "Please, can I stay a little while?" Vance pleaded. "Wait, who are you guys anyway? You seem...different." Everyone hesitated.
     "Um, we're..." Reshiram started.
     "Might as well tell him." Zekrom said. "It's better know then later. I'm Zekrom." Vance's eyes widened.
     "Like, the legendary?" He asked in disbelief.
     "No, like the furniture brand." Darkrai muttered sarcastically.
     "Yeah, and that's Reshiram." He pointed to her. He then introduced everyone else. When he mentioned Genesect, Vance looked confused. "Uh, he's not a legendary." Zekrom explained. "He's new here."
     "Oh." Vance said. "So, why are you all here together." Zekrom hesitated.
     "We just thought we should get together for some important business." Darkrai answered with no hesitation. "Don't worry, it doesn't concern you." He said the last sentence with more force."
     "Oh, okay." Vance said. "Um, do you have a bed I can sleep on instead of a couch?" Reshiram laughed lightly.
     "Yes, come on." She said, leading him upstairs. Zekrom sighed.
     "Now that he's gone, we might as well talk strategy." He said, looking a little more relaxed now that Vance wasn't in the room. "We should leave early tomorrow. Sinnoh is pretty far from here, and no doubt we'll need all the time we can get in the Distortion World."
     "Can't we get Palkia to teleport us there or something?" Kyurem proposed.
     "And how are we going to explain to Palkia why we need to go to Sinnoh?" Darkrai retorted. "Oh, hey Palkia. Listen, we need to talk to your sister in the Distortion World because we think she might be responsible for the theft of the Jewel of Life. We just need to talk to her and make sure she didn't commit one of the universe's worst and most dangerous crimes." He snorted. "He'll obviously say no." Kyurem frowned.
     "Can we teleport?" He suggested.
     "None of us can." Zekrom said. "We just have to use normal transportation." At that moment, Reahiram walked back in.
     "Are you guys talking about plans without me?" She asked with fake sadness. She sat down. "What are we talking about?"
     "How to get to Sinnoh so far." Victini said. "So, when we do get there, we go to that place with the statues that Darkrai pointed out? And we use them to go in the Distortion World and find Giratina?" Zekrom nodded. "That seems simple enough."
     "Actually it's not." Darkrai countered. "That place is all backwards and confusing. You can easily get lost, and finding Giratina might be hard. She doesn't usually like talking to people."
     "I still say this is ridiculous." Zekrom said bitterly. "There isn't real proof she's guilty. What if this ends up being a waste of our time?"
     "We can at least try." Reshiram said, irritated. "It's not like we have any leads yet. Articuno hasn't told us anything yet, and we don't know where these people are! If any of you have a better idea, I'd love to hear it!" Zekrom was silent, his eyes narrowed.
     "Ahaha..." Kyurem laughed nervously. "Let's just stick with this plan. No need to get all angry!"
     "Oh, I forgot to mention." Zekrom said bitterly. "Victini'll lead tomorrow." He glared at Reshiram. "If we do get lost, blame her, not me!" Victini flinched. Zekrom walked towards the door and opened it.
     "Where are you going?" Reshiram asked.
     "Outside." Without looking back he went outside and slammed the door behind him. There was an awkward silence.
     "This is why I'm happy to not have siblings." Darkrai said, breaking the silence. Cresselia rolled her eyes.
     "Ugh, he's so infuriating!" Reshiram said angrily. She kicked the couch. "Gets mad whenever people disagree with him, he's impulsive, and always wants to be leader!" She began pacing around the room. "He pushes people away too! One minute he's a normal person, and the next he becomes so cold and mean and stupid! I always try to live with it, but he always does it!  And it's worse ever since what happened with Emily!" Reshiram froze, surprised at what she had just said. She looked at the startled faces lookng at her. She put her head in her hands and walked out of the living room and upstairs quickly. Once again, there was an awkward silence, broken again by Darkrai.
     "Has she snapped?" He said.
     "Who's Emily?" Victini asked curiously. Kyurem looked at her nervously.
     "Just someone he knew. It's just...nothing. Never mind." He said. He stood up. "I'll go see if Reshi's okay." He went after her. Victini was confused. What just happened?
     "Uh..." She stood up. "I guess I'll go see if Zekrom's okay..."
     "I wouldn't." Darkrai said. "He didn't look very happy."
     "I don't care." Victini retorted, walking outside.
     "Has everyone hear gone crazy?" Darkrai asked. Cresselia sighed.
     Victini looked around and saw Zekrom sitting on the log, his arms crossed and resting on his legs. Victini walked up to him quietly, but he sensed her anyway.
     "You know, when someone walks out angrily and slams the door shut, it means they want to be alone." He said, his tone unfriendly.
     "I-I just wanted to see if you're okay. You looked really upset." Victini said, her voice sympathetic. "You made Reshiram pretty angry too. Darkrai thought she'd snapped." She said the last part in a lighter, amused tone, but Zekrom didn't smile or laugh.
     "I'll apologize later." He said. "I'm sorry. I just got angry." He sighed. "This is ridiculous. We'll just be wasting time."
     "You don't know that!" Victini said, sitting next to him. "What if we do find out something? How will you know if you don't try?" Zekrom was silent.
     "You're really pushy." He said, his tone lighter. "And you're too nice." Victini looked at him in surprise. He looked back at her, his red eyes bright. "You shouldn't be nice to me. You don't know anything about me. I seem normal sometimes, but I'm not. There's a reason I don't get too close to anyone."
     "But, you'll only make things worse if you do that." Victini persisted. "It's always great to have friends." Zekrom shook his head.
     "I don't just mean friends! I mean being more than that!" He said, surprising Victini.
     "Oh." She said. Zekrom sighed.
     "Victini." He said.
     "Hm?"
     "Thank you anyway. I'm sorry." He smiled. It was small, but it was a smile. Victini smiled.
     "See! That's better!" She stood up. "You should smile more, it makes you look so much nicer instead of frowning." Zekrom stood up. He stood in front of her.
     "You think so?" He asked. Victini nodded. Zekrom lowered his head towards hers. "Well, you look nice when you smile too." Victini felt her face grew hotter. Zekrom brought his face closer, about to kiss her. As soon as their lips got closer though, his eyes snapped open and he grabbed Victini's shoulders and pushed her away roughly.
     "Z-Zekrom?" Victini said in surprise, blushing furiously.
     "Damnit!" He whispered fiercely. "N-no! I can't do this. Not after Emily!"
     "Wait, who's Emily?" Victini asked. "Zekrom! Reshiram mentioned her too! Who is she." Zekrom looked at her.
     "Victini, just go away. Please. I need to be alone." He said, his tone harsh again.
     "But-"
     "Just go!" He said. Victini frowned and ran back to the house. She opened the door and began walking towards the stairs.
     "You're back? How did it go?" Darkrai asked. Victini ignored him and walked up the stairs and to her room. She opened the door and slammed it shut. Her heart was beating fast.
     What just happened? She thought. He almost kissed me! And then he pushed me away! This is about Emily, isn't it? Oh no, it's all my fault. What if he hates me now? Victini climbed into her bed. She'll just have to wait until tomorrow. She settle down and fell into a fitful sleep. She dreamed, but it was a blur. She remembered the glowing light of the Jewel, and someone snatching it away, causing her to tumble into darkness.
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Zekrom came inside finally, and was surprised to see that Darkrai wasn't asleep yet. He glanced at Zekrom.
     "Have you finally decided to come back inside?" Darkrai asked.
     "Aren't you going to sleep?" Zekrom asked. "It's late."
     "I'm not tired yet. Besides, can't I say the same for you?" Zekrom shrugged.
     "I'm going to sleep now." He said.
     "What did you tell Victini?" Darkrai asked. Zekrom stiffened.
     "What do you mean?" He asked, trying to keep his voice even. Darkrai smiled.
     "She seemed upset when she came back in. She went straight to her room." He answered. "If you keep that up, you'll make a mess of your life." Zekrom narrowed his eyes.
     "Well, I'm sure you know a lot about making a mess of your life." He retorted. Darkrai frowned.
     "I'm just warning you. Whatever happened in the past, it's better to forget." He said.
     "Yeah, well I can't." Zekrom said. "Good night." He went upstairs.
     "Good night." Darkrai muttered.

Well this was a kind of uneventful chapter. But don't worry, it'll get more interesting. Anyway, who could Emily be? And what are they going to do with Vance? And what's up with Zekrom? If you have any predictions or thoughts, I'd like to hear them ^^

Oh, I also would like to know your thoughts on the characters. Lets start with Victini. If there's anything you want to say about her, feel free ^_^

Victini needs more of a bigger back story. And if (or when) she is informed about Emily, she needs to have some sort of memory of something similar that happened to her, to make her more interesting.
